JAVA WITH JOE

LITANY OF TRUST-4.png

That You give me the grace to accept
forgiveness and to forgive others...
Jesus, I trust in you.

“Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.”

What if we realized that forgiveness isn’t just an act we make by our own mercy, but it’s actually a grace? What if our ability to forgive wasn’t based on how forgiving we feel, but how forgiven we’ve been by God? What if we responded from that place?

Forgiveness is freedom and love is wanting the best for the other. This is one of the keys to a rich spiritual life. Take stock of the anger holding you back from fullness. You’re aware of who hurt you. You will know you are living forgiveness when you wish the best for them and yourself.
