Think of a father throwing his child into the air. The child enjoys it - they aren’t afraid! They just know their dad will catch them.

Many of us have trusted God like that at some point in life, but we grew out of it - and not because of our age. Sin and fear make the heart grow old. Holiness, however, keeps us young… young enough to be childlike in our dependency on God.
